    EduAI - AI Learning Platform (Flagship)

    Engineered a flagship, production-style EdTech system as a PNPM monorepo with a Next.js (App Router) frontend and a TypeScript Express backend, supported by Supabase Postgres and a FastAPI utility service for document/embedding workflows. The platform is architected with clear route-controller-service separation, modular domain services, SQL migration-driven schema evolution, and environment-based external integrations for portability and scaling. Core implemented features include: AI tutoring chat with session/history support and syllabus-grounded responses Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) using embeddings + pgvector similarity matching on module chunks Long-term user memory vectors for context-aware personalization Voice tutoring with speech-to-text and text-to-speech pipelines Real-time classroom workflows (create/join/end sessions, participant management, event tracking) Full quiz lifecycle: creation (including AI/challenge generation), configuration, participation, submission, scoring/results, rankings, restore/trash flows Syllabus and module management (upload, chunking, content organization) Automated content ingestion pipeline from PDFs to cleaned modules and stored embeddings Model management APIs for syncing available LLMs and assigning feature-specific models User profile initialization/update and validation flows School/student verification and school management modules Role-based admin dashboard protections plus authenticated user route guards Responsive, theme-aware UI system with global providers (chat, modal, snackbar, theme), Zustand stores, and React Query data handling Background automation via scheduled cron jobs and monorepo task orchestration with Turborepo The implementation emphasizes maintainability and extensibility through layered backend boundaries, centralized service abstractions for AI/providers, database-backed configuration, and a UX structure that supports both student and administrative journeys in one integrated platform.
